Let's take a look at what we're working with:

Ninja Gaiden 2 (2008)

Not sure that anyone that has honestly played through them could pick any aside from the first. Maybe Yaiba if they just like something straight goofy.

@InterceptorAlpha Yeah this series really got worse with every sequel, although I guess Yaiba was an improvement over 3. Still the original stands out to me as being by far the best.
I still remember when that game was new on Xbox, I wasn't even a fan of that style of game but it had so much hype at the time that I had to get it. I remember it being one of the most impressive original Xbox titles, kinda funny looking back at it today as I remember it being so good looking at the time.

Hi there fellow gamers.
My favourite Ninja Gaiden game is NG Black on the original Xbox.
I have played that game so many times on both my OG Xbox and my 360 trough backwards capability.
Funy story(maybe not so funny), my original version of Ninja Gaiden would break and not load the Alma Boss fight.
it ran fine until then. I could only see the cutscene and then..... nothing at all.
Fortunately I was able to get a new one that worked.
Even the game feared Alma 😜
Cheers, stay safe and happy gaming to us all

Easily NG Black. I’ve played through that game so many times and even just charged my vita a few weeks ago just to play it. It’s probably my most purchased game.

I played the Xbox version of the 1st but never Black. Think I’m gonna pick it up on the series x to try it in 4k! And then I’ll try the sequels in the collection.

There are parts of the second one that I like more than the first, but on the whole, the first one is the better game.

Definitely the first one. It still looks amazing today in 4K on my One X, it’s another example of good art direction being timeless. I also really liked the strange/real setting of the first game.
